NSW new Aging strategy - HAVE YOUR SAY!

NSW Whole of Government Ageing Strategy:

The number of older people in NSW is projected to grow significantly in coming years, and this will have profound implications across our whole community.  To address this, the NSW Government is developing a Whole of Government Ageing Strategy and is inviting members of our community to contribute their ideas on planning for our ageing population. This will ensure that the NSW Whole of Government Ageing Strategy best meets the needs of our community.

Congratulations   to

Dr Ian De Mellow,

who has been honoured in the 2011 Queen's Birthday listings

MEDAL (OAM) IN THE GENERAL DIVISION    Dr Ian Tudor DE MELLOW ,Wahroonga. Aged welfare.

Matters arising from our AGM held 9th June 2011

The meeting was well attended.
We saw the temporary suspension of our group at least until October 2011.
Our valued friend and helper, Jayne Boardman, bid both us, and the Hornsby Council, farewell,
as she has taken up a new position with the Parramatta Council. Needless to say we shall miss her.
Others commended for their contributions were Roger Link, Ian de Mellow, Gerald Sabel, and our
 Chairperson, Dr Brian Osborne.
One of the main achievements of the group was the "Message in a Bottle" launch in 2008.
There shall be one more publication of "Mature Matters", thanks to Roger Link and the
Hornsby R.S.L Club,
who funded the printing for the past year. Our grateful thanks go to the club.
Jayne provided photographs relating to achievement awards that were given our group
